HX1 Tapered Headset

A zero-stack tapered headset in anodised alloy with sealed cartridge bearings. It is the headset on our C3, and because it uses the industry-standard ZS44/28.6 top and ZS55/40 bottom sizes, it fits any frame and fork built to those sizes, whatever the brand: hardtails, dirt jump frames and big BMX with a ZS44/ZS55 tapered head tube. Same beef. Collective look.

Will it fit my bike?

• Yes if your frame has a zero-stack (internal cup) head tube with a 44mm top and a 55mm bottom, and your fork has a tapered steerer (1 1/8 inch at the top, 1.5 inch at the crown).
• Yes on the Collective C3.
• No for a straight 1 1/8 inch fork in a straight 44mm head tube: you want the HX1 Straight Headset.
• No for integrated (IS) head tubes, where the bearings sit straight in the frame, or for external-cup (EC) head tubes.
• No for ZS56 lower cups (a 56mm bottom bore, also common on tapered frames): check the code before you order.
